- About us -
Short Film Club is the oldest film club at the University of North Texas. We offer a place for filmmakers to watch and discuss short films, learn about filmmaking, and work together to create short films. As a club, we produce two short films, or officials, a semester and help others create independently.
This Fall 2024, General Meetings and Production Workshops are alternated in a bi-weekly schedule to encourage members to attend both. Any and all are welcome to join! No experience needed!
- General meetings -
During General Meetings, we provide information about the club, on-campus networking and social events, script and story idea pitching opportunities, and important dates such as Pitch Day, Officials Crew Sign Up Deadlines, Officials Shooting Dates, and Officials Screenings.
General Meetings are held every other Friday starting on August 23rd, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Room 184 of the Radio, TV, Film & Performing Arts Building (RTFP) on UNT Main Campus.
- Production workshops -
Production Workshops are held bi-weekly throughout the semester for students interested in getting hands-on experience with the production side of filmmaking. Each meeting goes over a certain aspect of the filmmaking process, ranging from lighting, camera work, screenwriting, and audio recording/mixing, to name a few.
Production Workshops are held every other Friday starting on August 30th, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in Room 135 of the Radio, TV, Film & Performing Arts Building (RTFP) on UNT Main Campus.
